en Monk's belt weaving is a block weave, woven with a supplementary weft on a plain weave ground. It can be used to create complex patterns and is woven on a four harness loom, using shafts 1 and 2 for one block and shafts 3 and 4 for the other. The monk's belt should contain an even number of threads and the blocks can be any size. Monk's belt can be used for upholstery fabric, pillows, tablecloths and many other things.
