Celtic braid is formed when the diagonal lines form a perpendicular line to each other and can look like they are braided. Celtic braid twill is formed with even thread count and the thread count has to divide evenly on the shaft count and tie up. When the diagonal lines in twill are not straight but arched it is called undulating twill. The draft is created by threading one, two or more threads into the heddles in the same shaft. The tie up is usually for six, eight or more shafts and woven straight, pointed or as one prefers.
